President’s Message
The PDCA is entering its second year of existence and has enjoyed amazing growth, productivity and level of enthusiasm among members. The friendly atmosphere in which the association operates is a tribute to its members and staff. During the first year, the PDCA has established a sound registry that is the cornerstone for future growth of the breed. The startup phase of any new organization is very critical, but with the combined talent and years of experience that our members, staff, officers and board possess, there was never a pause in establishing the PDCA. The growth of membership during the first year and the stability of the financial status of the association are both indicators of what is to come. The common interest in the Dexter breed is the underlying thread that has made it easy to build a strong association. The strong attendance and participation in the first annual meeting, show, sale and educational program was an indication of our member’s interest in Dexter cattle.
You are encouraged to become involved in a professional organization with a mission to maintain breed integrity and to inform those interested in the benefits of owning Dexter cattle.
I look forward to serving as your first elected president and invite your input to help guide this new organization through the next decade.
